The Recovery Center at Aldersgate Village
is a remodeling project that seeks to help individuals discharged from an acute care hospital in need of further care to recover to their highest potential.Operating within the larger
community of Aldersgate Village, the Recovery Center will provide short-term
rehabilitative therapies and extensive skilled nursing services in an
atmosphere designed to cultivate wellness.
The specially designed environment offers patient rooms equipped to meet the unique needs of patients just being released from the hospital; large comfortably furnished living accommodations, dining, visiting, and activity areas. The entire center is designed to cultivate a holistic caring environment. In addition to skilled nursing and physical rehabilitation for the patient, recreation, massage, spiritual and psycho-social therapy will help heal the spirit.
Patients will benefit from state-of-the-art equipment in spacious surroundings utilized by therapists experienced with assisting people to rehabilitate following debilitating illness. Nursing staff trained in the care of post-acute recovery will provide skilled nursing to patients needing IV therapy, wound care and supportive care through extended chemotherapy.The Recovery Center will also provide care for people experiencing prolonged treatment and recovery from respiratory disease like COPD and procedures such as tracheotomy.
Patient care directed by case management professionals who coordinate services with the patient and their care team, will help ensure services stay on track with the patient’s goals.
The Recovery Center’s primary goal will be to return patients to their homes so that they may continue to lead vibrant and active lives. When that goal is not possible, there is the peace of mind that long term skilled nursing, hospice care, assisted living, independent living, and home health services can all be conveniently arranged as a part of the Aldersgate caring community.
